The goal of Amaru’s kitchen is to live primarily from their garden. They follow the Permaculture principles of working with nature so they can serve you fresh, local, family-style meals.

The food is always prepared with the highest intention to complement the environment & local community. Any dietary needs can always be accommodated.

How far is Amaru from the airport?

Amaru is located 3-3.5 hours from Managua International Airport. Your retreat package includes roundtrip airport transfer pick-up at 2 pm and 9 pm.

Will I be able to withdraw cash easily?

Amaru is located in a very remote area of Northern Nicaragua. There is no ATM immediately accessible. it is recommended to travel with cash from your location of origin. Credit card payments are accepted at Amaru with a 6% additional service charge.

What will the weather be like when I host my retreat?

The dry season runs from November to April, bring of sun protection!

What will the surf conditions be like during my retreat?

We have world-class surf breaks for any level, the month of March offers a calmer ocean and better conditions for beginners.

What is the local nightlife like?

There is not much nightlife or shopping around Amaru, but there are local community events and activities available that can be organized upon request.

IMPORTANT REMINDER:

Your passport must be valid for a minimum of 6+ months after your arrival to Nicaragua.

CANCELLATION POLICY

• Cancellation 60 days or more prior the first day of the retreat: guest receives a full refund, less the non refundable $500 deposit and processing fees ($50).

• Cancellation 40-60 days prior the first day of the retreat: guest receives a full credit to be applied towards a future retreat or Sundara Yoga Store (on our website which includes Class Pass and memberships) less the non refundable $500 deposit and processing fees ($50). A credit resulting from cancellation of the retreat expires after 6 months from your cancellation date.

• Cancellation 0-40 days days prior the first day of the retreat: no refunds or credits will be given

• There will be no refunds for arriving late or leaving early. There are no exceptions to the above cancellation policies including personal injuries or weather.

CANCELLATION BY SUNDARA YOGA

We reserve the right to cancel the retreat up the 60 days before the scheduled retreat start date. In this scenario, the client will receive a complete refund paid to Sundara Yoga.

In addition, we reserve the right to cancel the retreat at any time due to natural disaster or other disruptions and/or circumstances beyond our control where the operating of the retreat would be unsafe or otherwise unviable. In this scenario if the retreat is cancelled due to circumstance beyond our control, the client will receive a complete refund paid to Sundara Yoga.
